KIN CON is a convention to celebrate being a geek/nerd/otaku; a place to be your nerdy self and meet and talk with your fellow nerd. There will be a stage for cosplay and skits, as well as for fun and games. 

Kin means gold in Japanese - as in Johannesburg, the place of gold. Kin also means family, which is what we are >__<

KIN CON will take place on 30 and 31st of August at the Jabula Recreation Centre. 

The con will start at 09h00 on both days
The Entrance Fee is R50 for the day and R80 for the weekend

COSPLAYERS:

There will be 3 opportunities to get yourself on stage at KIN-CON:

Cosplay Competition: [NOTE - costume must be at least 50% self made to apply] R10 pre registration

Cosplay Masquerade: you can perform on stage!! a skit, dance etc (must be less than 4 mins) R10 pre registration (if you are performing and competing it's just a once off of R10), NO SAME DAY REGISTRATION!

Cosplay Showcase: Not confident enough to enter the comp or Masquerade? Or you just want to show all what you've done? this is for you! FREE 

If you want to perform or enter the comp I have a few main rules you must abide

-Keep it family friendly (if you are unsure if your costumes is family freindly just ask me)
-Not real weapons unless they can be sheathed and you sign a form promising to not un-sheath the weapon inside
-Skits must not be longer than 4 mins (if you know that it might go over time let me know before had and explain why)
- Anyone who wants to perform a skit MUST be in costume (e-mail me if your concept involves one person in normal clothes)
